I know I'm going to come off like Sincity but I thought this looked like a pretty sweet lugged frameset for the money. So, please, somebody clue me in on Viner frames...

Aluminium Crusader :-)
just another Italian bike company
Nothing wrong with them
https://www.viner.it/english/index.htm
their Dedacciai COM12.5 steel models have been down the bottom of their range for a few years. There's nothing special about this tube set; I wouldn't expect it to be any better than 531c, and it's not light-weight: ~1800 to 1900g without a fork (~4 to 4.25 lbs)

When I was much younger I was going to buy one since I thought they were named after me. But turned out it was a contraction of an Italian name. Alas no additional Viner's in my household. They are kinda pretty tho.

Sorry, but Viner is not just "another Italian bike company." They have been making frames in small quantities since 1947. Build quality is second to none and you have the bragging rights to a bike that pretty much no one has heard of. My dad has a lugged professional steel ordered and made in 1983. The bike is in perfect condition functionally and aesthetically. No problems whatsoever for 22 years! Great company, but if you plan on custom ordering be prepared to wait b/c "my people" really take their time when it comes to custom bike frames. Any other questions let me know.
