What is this?

Wierd retro folder at auction in the UK. Out of my area but if you can get to Wrexham in Wales and fancy something to restore. Looks really strong and heavy. It's like a Raleigh stowaway with a reinforced frame and wheels for commercial use.

Looks like whoever owned it was ashamed to ride it in the day going by the number of lights on it. I can't make out the brand, maybe 'Censor8' or something like that. 36 spokes per wheel. You certainly wouldn't want to be hit by it.

Hard working bike, tyres are blown up, braking surfaces are clean, all ready to go, just needs a stiff wire brushing. You might even get a few pounds back if you sold on the road bike parts in the basket, and you could make it a lot lighter by removing the Forth Road Bridge parts that the rear rack seems to have been made from. Well worth an opening bid of £6, years of useful life left in it.

Didn't export 20's have a stem extender piece like the one in the photo ?

Went for a £5, so 15% on top of that is £5.75 and 3% on top of that is £5.92. Whoever won it certainly got a lot of bike for his/her money. As you say selling the bits in the basket on ebay might even pay for the bike. Great to see it not hit landfill anyway (I hope). Actually the 3% is only for online bids so may just be the £5.75.

At least I've found out what it is, a Hawk Consort 20 folding bike. Very heavy solid bikes by reputation. It might be this company when they made their own bikes.

Nowadays they just put the brand on basic imported bikes.
