I love '90s bikes, with their silver wheels. Are the V brakes original equipment or a modernization? I bet it rides great!

I don't believe these V-brakes are original, although it seems the original spec sheet shows these models did come with V-brakes. I'm planning on changing out the entire groupset. I just can't figure out what is compatible with what. I want a taller crankset and an 11T rear cog back there and an upgraded brakes -- all in black.

My new Neko
Good news: my Neko 2 came in over a week early. Bad news: I'm stuck in my cast for at least 10 more days. Was hoping to get it off today. And then I'll be in a brace for a while. So i have no idea when I'll actually be able to ride it. But at least I can look at her.

That's a good looking bike. Congrats. That rack is a perfect fit.

Very Nice!!
That's the same color my fiance chose for her Neko 2. I am sure you will love it as much as she does. Get better soon and start enjoying that bike!!

2016 Giant Toughroad SLR 1
This is my new to me Toughroad SLR 1. I found it on Craigslist and went to check it out and was very impressed with how light and comfortable it is. The original owner put less than 100 miles on it and was garage kept and all maintenance done by the LBS where the bike was bought from. ALUXX SLR-grade aluminum frame, composite with alloy steerer fork with low-rider rack mounts, SRAM GX 10 speed (11-32T cassette) and Shimano M395 hydraulic brakes. It also comes with front and rear racks. I only rode it around the block but so far it rides great. Can't wait to go on a long ride.

3. Maxxis Maxxlite Speed w/ Silkworm Anti-Puncture, 29x2.00 for Specialized Hemisphere Armadillo 700x38c
Installed:
1. Garmin Edge stem mount
2. Bell
3. Under saddle bag

Thanks, it is slowly coming together. I found some new handlebars, but unfortunately my basket came in without the mounting struts... Also it was my first ride with the new Stashers top tube bag! Really nice bag that holds a water bottle + a 12oz can, or three 12oz cans. Did 34miles of mixed terrain- pavement, dirt roads, and singletrack today and the bike handled itself very well.

Great-looking '90s MultiTrack! Please remind me again of your drivetrain -- is that a Sram X5/7/9 derailleur? Are you using Sram trigger shifters?

Definitely looks the part as a long distance ride. Very versatile.👍
Is there a reason that you haven't gone for a rack on the back?

I have a deal going for a nice used front rack that I can set a basket on, so hopefully that will happen in the next week or so. I did originally order a Wald 137 front basket to setup with the stock struts and attachments, but it arrived without the support struts, and had to be returned....
Bruce
I don't have a pic with the most current setup with the bikepacking saddlebag, but here is an older one-

Bruce, if you have a lot of pictures of your bike's progress, would you mind starting a bike build thread on that particular bike, so folks can watch your progress over time, and maybe see some of the special stuff you've added, like that knife and sheath?
