First time I have ever held a 30kph average for a whole ride. I don't know if it was coincidence but it was the first ride with my new Fulcrum 5s

I literally laughed out loud at this one, with the pin the numbers quote!
I did a triathlon with some friends two months ago and we're still debating our times.
When I raced cars, same thing. Endless debates about why the times weren't the "real" times.

The "beauty" if you want to call it that, of soccer "rules" is Law 5 makes the referee the only person that determines the facts of the match. If the referee says so - it is, even if video shows otherwise. Having one person just decide and then send everyone home is much more welcome now having seen both sides.
In USA cycling, especially at youth ages it got to almost every race being protested - to 10th place. This made race days take another hour or so for 9-14 year olds. Euro kids were more like soccer (no surprise) and were awarding cash 10 min after the finish. Seeing the lack of protests where cycling was biggest chilled son and me out a bit and we just started hanging around for results that were immediate and were $$ or podium. If there was a protest - we just left and read about it later.
Now places (outside the money/podium) can be off by 20 or so - nobody cares, it is not even discussed, wouldn't think to protest and would not hang around if others were protesting. Protesting looks worse than a bad performance, result. If someone says - "they screwed up the result" they are generally believed.
