According to RWGPS, Long Lake to Newcomb is 14 miles with 713' of climbing. Moderately hilly in my book.

About 22 miles to Tupper Lake with 1,100' of climbing.

Map the routes on RWGPS if you want to study the profiles.

Nothing too steep, if so its just for quarter mile or so. If you're going to Newcomb, you have to take the road into Camp Santannoni (sp.) Its just shy of 5 miles in on a decent dirt road and is one of the best examples of the old Adirondack camps. Multiple structures with a common roof, elements of Craftsman and Japanese architecture and connected porches overlooking an undisturbed lake. There's a story as to why it was abandoned in the early 70's. Death and mystery is involved. Really one of the Adirondack treasures. You could do it on a road bike and walk a few sections, but 32's or at least 28's for tires would be better. Don't miss it even if you have to drive to the parking area and bike or walk in. Also don't miss the Adirondack Museum in Blue Mountain Lake. Have fun!

If you ride in Columbia County, you won't find the LL area any worse.

Possibly the hilliest is south to Blue Mt. Lake as you go over the shoulder of Blue Mt.

Ditto ChamplainCycler's suggestion to go into Santanoni, beautiful area.

In fact, this area has a lot of good dirt/gravel rides so if you have a bike that takes 28-32's you can explore.

Part pavement, part gravel/dirt is the road into Little Tupper lake, which is north of LL. A good loop is north on Rt 30 to the Sabattis Rd,. county rd. 10 or something, then a left for a mile to the old Whitney Estate headquarters, than back to 10 and do the northern loop and back to 30 and south.
