Recumbent Bike w/Programmable Workout?
I'd like to get a stationary recumbent bike with a programmable workout option. For instance, I want a workout with x minutes at a certain resistance, then x minutes at another resistance, then x minutes at yet another resistance, and so on. I would like to try some HIIT workouts. My current bike is a good bike but nothing fancy, no preset programs and certainly no user programming. It also has a knob to adjust resistance, which is a bit awkward and clumsy to do every couple of minutes during a short workout.
I've googled but can't seem to find what I want, except at very high prices. My budget is limited, $300-ish. Can I find such a bike on that budget or am I dreaming?
I found the Schwinn 230 Recumbent Bike for $250 on Amazon, but the manual is unclear whether "custom user-defined" means the kind of programming I'm after.
Thanks for any comments or recommendations.

Different kind of recumbent. Most of the people who post in this section ride funny looking bikes with two (or three) wheels on the road. You might ask one of the moderators to move your question to the Training and Nutrition section.

You're looking for something like this...
I like the Mellow Johnny program for 45 minutes on resistance level 2.
The LS isn't available anymore but it was not expensive and, there are many more like it-- getting it delivered to your home in one piece is the big challenge.

Well, as I said, I've done quite a bit of googling and I can't find what I want, which is why I came here looking for suggestions.
I don't mind assembling the bike, I expect to have to do that.

Hey, great minds and all that! I - literally - just watched that video a few minutes ago on my Roku. But thanks.
I think I've found one. I can't post links yet, but it's the Xterra SB150, only $184 at both Walmart and Amazon. I dl'ed the manual, seems to do everything I need and more.
Anyone familiar with this brand or model?

It arrived today instead of Mon. Opened my door and there it was. I see why the FedEx guy scurried off. The box looked liked it had been in a hurricane - dents, holes, torn, top not sealed. I dragged it inside, opened it, everything was just dumped in there, nothing wrapped up. Obviously a return item. But all the parts were there, nothing damaged. So I spent two hours putting it together, no problem. Sat down, started pedaling, and immediately realized why the previous customer returned it - SQUEAK SQUEAK SQUEAK RUMBLE RUMBLE. Took it apart, threw it all back in the box as haphazardly as I found it. Will return it to the local store tomorrow.
Frigging WalMart. I'll never, ever order anything like this from them again. What an utterly crap way to treat a customer.

I have been researching an upright trainer. Similar but different than you loser item. Another poster in another thread made a similar discovery and return of a ProForm item. He asked why would they have such shabby quality control and another replied they don't care. It seems to be common in an electronic impersonal age. How or why would Walmart even care ? Walk in their store and feel the vibe.

It's sometimes fun to take advantage of circumstances and try to set a new world record (which involves going for a higher than ever distance or time, fastest 5k, quickest pace, most calories, etc.) or trying a new program, higher resistance...
