GMC Denali 700 cc
The brakes are not mounted to the bike correctly. The left brake is wiggley while right brake is absolutely fine and not moving at all

I think there are two different Denali bikes. A flat bar Denali and a drop bar Denali.
If you have the drop bar Denali, usually there is a screw (often Allen type) behind the lever holding the lever to the bars.
Depending on the type of lever, some have a hole in front that you can fit your wrench through. Others, you open the lever to get the wrench in.
It may help to remove a wheel to better release cable tension, or open the cable tension release.

If it's new
warranty return to walmart

probably need a new brake lever; the stock ones have plastic bases and they crack then become permanently loose

Just tighten it up as CliffordK said. It's been awhile but I think I recall correctly (on the drop bar hooded levers). You close the lever(squeeze it closed) then the bolt is over the top of the lever inside the hood, in that area that you opened up. You can't see it unless you shine a flashlight into there. It IS an Allen type, at least mine is, around 8mm I think.

8mm would be pretty big.
