Suggested routes for sequoia national forest?
I want to do a ride to see the biggest tree. Anyone have any routes? Any suggestions on where to start? I am coming from the Bay Area planning to go first week of May. Is that a good time to go? Or is there better?

I did a 3-day trip to Sequoia NP two years ago. It was fantastic and challenging riding, and I got to see the giant sequoias.
I wrote up my trip, including the route and transit info for getting there from the Bay Area, for the Chronicle, here.
I went in September--May should be good, too in a dry year like this when there won't be much snow even at higher altitudes.
