No one carries the DogBoy
On my touring bike I have a barrier mask, rubber (the non-latex kind) gloves, some gauze, an Ace bandage and a few band-aids. Was a lifeguard back in the day, and keep my CPR for rescue professionals up to date. (Although I admit it did just expire in March). On my regular commuter bike, I carry a phone, and would use my undershirt as a bandage in a pinch.

Latex gloves (more for fixing stuff, but I have used them to help a bloody cyclist off the bike path), a packet of blood stop, some gauze, some tape, and some blister bandages. Tuck em away and forget them till you need em.

In 40 years of cycling I've never carried first aid stuff. If you crash either you get back to riding or take an ambulance in. Honestly, what is a bandaid going to do? Now if you're on tour, that is a completely different story.

Cell phone. I always felt that if it's something that prevents me from riding, I probably need help. I conked my head on an overhead locker door just before leaving work the other day, and didn't realize that it was bleeding until I felt it running down the side of my face on the ride home....so I'm warming up to the idea of carrying a few bandages.

fwiw - just had some fun shopping for a replacement for a long loved Johnson & Johnson, white, 1st aid cream, which was always great for minor 1st degree burns. wound up buying a cpl diff. minor burn products & Neosporin + Pain Cream

FWIW: I didn't properly lace up my right shoe yesterday. meaning, I just tied the top two switchbacks. so ... after about 30 miles I developed a small blister that broke on my pinky toe & was causing some discomfort. wound up using some medicated cream, two wide bandages & some tape to protect the toe & that side of the foot. flipped the sock inside out, for good measure, re-inserted foot & properly tied my shoes. was so glad I had that stuff with me to make the remaining 20 miles comfortable

My wife has a huge seatbag with a little first aid kit stuffed in there (along with spare tube, patch kit, tire levers, multitool, phone, etc).
I carry nothing (in terms of first aid). If I crash, I bleed my way home. If I have broken bones and can't ride home, a first aid kit isn't going to help.
At one point I carried a couple cafeteria salt packets to help in case of bonking, but I never used them and they wore out and got salt all over the inside of my seatbag, so I threw them out.
