It is a pretty good "midnight" blue - looks almost black at times but really stands out in brighter conditions. It was overcast when I took the photos above. The photo below is under brighter kitchen lighting.

Instead all we are getting is mainly blacks and dark greys with a bit of coloured striping.

I rode a century on a fixie one time, 110 miles with a lot of climbing. That was educational.

Lots of nice toys on this thread. It has been a slow start to my season. I've been walking a heck of a lot (I need to keep up with my fitbit) but I didn't commute this winter (bad idea) and so I didn't get started until the weather warmed up. I've been riding a 1993 Bridgestone MB 1 this week. I picked it up off CL last year and the bike was almost pristine. It's a reasonably light bike--right around 25 pounds which isn't bad for a lugged steel frame mountain bike with fat tires. It's such a fun bike that it may be a while before I get back on my road bike.

Picked this up locally after someone else was a no-show for it. Around a 1986 Trek 1000, SunTour 2x6 gearing, skinny wheels so 25 width tires will be the max. I had the saddle and the 700-23 tires in my spare parts. Weighs about 22.2pounds as it sits. Seat tube is a hair tall, but the top tube works for me so close enough.

I forget to post a pic of my new bike. It's a 2018 Lynskey Helix Pro. Got it about 2 weeks ago.

All though the years most of my bikes have been steel, a few aluminum. I've never been in love with the carbon/flat black/disc fad. But I've always wondered how they really ride. So when the price of this Podium went down to $1125 with a corporate discount plus another 25% off I couldn't pass it up. Pretty amazing ride. It's the same frameset being raced in the World Tour but it's as comfortable as an endurance bike. One that handles like a Ferarri. Even has room for 32's.

My Bianchi Via Nirone 7. Alloy frame with carbon/kevlar forks and full Campagnolo Centaur group set. Campagnolo Proton wheels, Fizik saddle, FSA compact 'bars and stem and flat pedals with short toe clips. I keep looking at the latest exotic and expensive bikes but then I go for a ride on this one and decide "it's a keeper"!

Very nicely done! ![Thumbs Up](images/smilies/thumb.gif)
But what's that dangly thing hanging from the rear axle, all tangled up in the chain? Proper English 3-speeds use a Sturmey Archer hub you know...![Stick Out Tongue](images/smilies/tongue.gif)

1993 Bridgestone XO 2
This is one of my favorite bikes. Grant Peterson called this a fire road bike, today we'd call it a gravel bike. The combo of road geometry and fat 26 inch tires (i'm running 26 x 1.75 pasela protite tires) makes for a plush ride that can handle most any kind of surface well. I took it out today on a 53 mile ride:
