Thanks folks - just wish I still had the legs for it....its currently geared 50x19 but i'm not fit enough to ride that on any surface but flats.....so I am going to put on a 22 rear because I'm old....otherwise it rides beautifully......was fun today for the short ride I had.

What a neat bike! Thanks for sharing.
I'm surprised to see those open seat stays. I assume they must be open at the bottom, too, for drainage? Were they always open or were they plugged originally? I'd be tempted to stick a tiny cork in them. Pretty shape on that stem (with an interesting clamp bolt).

again, thanks for the comments. I should mention that clubman has been a real help on this bike with moral support and a couple of parts from his stash; and rhm did the reproduction Kaydex saddle.
the open stays are pretty unique to this and the CCM Flyer I think; they weren’t plugged and I wouldn’t ride this in the rain anyway. The wheels are not original but i’ll fess up to the rear coaster brake still being there from when the original owner had it fitted in the 70s. I scored what might have been the last brake band around for a Perry B100 and the coaster actual sort of stops now, but the Philco centre pull rear (as originally fitted) works better (need new pads but it looks like Mafac racer pads are almost a perfect fit.
and yeah, that stem really does it for me...so smooth and elegant.

I LOVE this! I really like the geometry, it looks like a stripped down touring bike! I bet it’s a really smooth ride!
Thank yoo for the pictures!
