Help with lighting on aero handlebars (Canyon)
i have a new canyon ultimate cf sl disc 8.0 with their aero shaped handle bars (it won’t let me past a link as I’m new). I’m trying to figure out the best way to mount a light on the front and what light to use given the unique share of the bars (not round). Any suggestions?

I don't have aero bars, but have a light that uses a rubber strap mount with little holes in it like a belt you wear for your pants. The strap on mine seems long enough it should be able to go around most aero road handlebars.
If it won't go around the bars, this style certainly fits around a stem and you can rotate the light mount 180 degrees. Meaning you can align the beam from mounting it on the stem.
Niterider? They've got all kinds of mounts and straps, GoPro style included also. My issue with that is with a larger brighter light, the light is upside down and not super adjustable since it's under mounted on an "out front" computer mount.

Why not a rubber strap type mount on the fork? It appears to be round. Would still put the light down the road where you need it and others could still see you.

I use a Lenzyne 1000xl on my Canyon RoadLite 9.0 CF LTD. So I assume it would work on your Canyon as well. It's a great lite and mounts and dismounts easily.
btw. for some reason I can't post a pic of this. Will try to later.
finally able to load a pic... see below

Aero flat bars? That seems like an oxymoron.
didn't realize thats a thing. Cool to know.

Canyon sells an out-front mount based on the GoPro mount - computer on top; light on the bottom. I have one on my HoverBar - they sell one for the Ultimate bar too. I have a similar out-front mount on my Scott Syncros one-piece bar/stem. Just seems wrong to clamp a light or computer on nice sleek bar.
