Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

"Is that monkey real?"

"Yeah totally, wanna pet it?"

"Really, cool sure! Is it hard to keep them as pets?"

"It isn't mine, I just borrow it for bike rides."

"Oh I see. Well then have a good ride!"

"You too!"

"Nice bike, is it yours?"
"why don't you want to coast?"
"why don't you want other gears?"
"is this a racing bike?"

it actually annoys me how many people are initially confused by the lack of brakes, and then go "oh, i had a bike like that when i was a kid". heh, the hell they did.
