Cruiser wheel set build

Seeing that the spokes on my Cruiser are a corroded mess I'm considering building a new set of wheels. Would Sun Rynolite rims in 556Etro work okay with 2.125 Tires ? What rims should I consider??

556Etro?

The Rhyno Lite is listed as 22mm internal width, while the XL version is 23.5mm.
With a 2+" tire, I'd probably go wider.

Is there any other make of rim I should consider?

Would the Sun Alloy Rim 26 x 2.00 Ryno Lite Silver 36 Hole work? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...7210_476787730

I found Sun Rims to be a good rim for the $$$.
They typically have a small flat spot near the rim joint that won't affect the tire "roundness".
Else, expect to pay at least another $30 for a different brand.
The CR-18 is my typical recommendation, but not for wider tires like yours. I'd spend an extra $5 for the XL, if you can get it in the color & drilling you want.

I don't know how many spokes your hub is to say if anything will work.

The Weinmann AS7X is almost a millimeter wider (both internally and externally) than the Sun Rhyno XL, and $20.

That rim will work just fine, its a cruiser, not a performance mtb. Now everyone wants wider rims to have rounder tires but that rim has been used on its fair share of cruisers using that size tire and its never been a problem. Just get a good stainless steel spoke, if your current ones look awful they're probably plated and use a good stainless or brass nipple. It'll stay pretty longer.
