Cycling films/documentaries
hey i was wondering if anyone had suggestions for a cycling movie/documentary that is either modern or classic, but i would like to see elements of c&v cycling, or an appreciation for it. for example the film brevet about the paris brest paris showed a good amoutn of people who chose to ride vintage steel bikes over modern. other movies i have seen that i liked were a sunday in hell and stars and watercarries by Jørgen Leth abd b.i.k.e.. anyway, i'm intersted if there are any good docs out there mainly that highlight a love and passion of bicycles of any kind, and the sense of adventure or unique experiences that come along with them. be it racing, adventuring, travelling, or anything else. thank you!

Look for “Fire in the Frame”, about Giuseppe Marinoni, his frame building and hour record quest. Full length film available from Amazon.

No, not a triple. My guess would be Campagnolo GS with 52/49 or something similar.

I often wondered how Eddie got Davey's shoe if Davey had his toe-strap done up snugly.
I really like Rae Dawn Chong's 10 SECONDS rear wheel change.

QUICKSILVER with Kevin Bacon. About bicycle messengers. It has some rather neat bicycling scenes in it many of which are fixed-gear bicycles.
Cheers

I never get tired of watching this one. It includes everything I enjoy about cycling.

I really enjoyed Pantani: The Accidental Death of a Cyclist. Although a sad tale of a brilliant athlete and the darker side of the sport, I found the story of his rise and success very inspirational.

Rob Penn's Ride of my Life from the BBC
I've watched this a few times - not really in the true spirit of C&V, but it's all good quality stuff.
And being a Scotsman, I would always stick up for The Flying Scotsman movie about Graeme Obree.

I looked at this film about the "tour de france" 1953 the other day.
Just fantastic .
I was a little surprised to see how low are the saddles set up.
If they made so, it was for sure for a good reason.
Maybe should I lower a little mine myself !
(look at 1:05 ; Mountain bike !)
