Curious to know where you bought the PTFE?
Bought mine on Amazon (CocinaCo) on January 22nd and I still haven't received it. I guess China Post is overwhelmed. Moreover, I'm not sure of the particle size as the title says 1.6um but the description says ''with an average size of 3um''. Oh well.

My dad used to cut my hair. Of all the things he was self-taught and great at, cutting hair was prolly the only exception.

But the other day I had to get some because we were almost out, and I felt so dumb standing in the line with a 20-pack (that's all that was left), knowing what so many other people were thinking about me.

Vain, But Lacking Talent
I had to make a grocery run yesterday. We had been out of town last week' so I genuinely needed to buy some standard items as well as meat and vegetables. People are definitely getting weird.
The TP thing is stupid. When you poop, you're usually in a room that also has a shower. Thankfully, i had just bought some last weekend. The bottled water thing is also stupid. Yes, you might end up self quarantined, but the water is not getting shut off. This is not a weather event where services will be down.
The cleaning supplies were wiped out where there would have been alcohol based surface cleaners. TP and paper towels totally wiped out. There was zero chicken or pork left in the meat section. I was actually low on rice and ended up buying the lone last bag of jasmine rice on the shelf, feeling like "that guy" even though it was on my list either way. Oddly enough, popcorn was scarce. I bought the last big box of microwave popcorn that we usually have around the house as a snack. Any time you grab the last item on a shelf in that environment you keep wanting to tell people around you, "Seriously, i buy this stuff all the time. I am not panicking shopping." Eggs were low, but they had what I needed.
And as much as I tell myself that I wasn't panick shopping, there was indeed an element of trying to beat the crazies to the punch. So yeah, it kind of was a panic shop.

Nice! As a person with wide feet, Shimano shoes are just okay for me (if I size up a bit). IIRC, Shimano makes wide models in the RC7, but none of the local retailers carried them in stock, so I'm back to playing the shipping game, shuttling shoes back and forth to find the right fit. Pain in the ass. Same thing with current Specialized shoes - their regular, moderately wide shoes are okay, but not quite right; they make wides, but they're not locally available (I also don't like the fact that they have some really fun colors/designs available, but Wides are only available in black

This coronavirus business is really suffering from a lack of useful information.
So we have these two corona positive cases in town, both dx at the local hospital but not admitted. Meaning the affected individuals are not too sick.
Big question is: community acquired or not? Why not tell us that? Would be hugely helpful in giving us an idea of how widespread the infection might already be in our town. Which in turn would be hugely helpful in giving me an idea how responsible it would be for any of us to leave town to go work in LA somewhere.
So I go to the CA Dept of Public Health website and I find a map of counties in which community acquired coronavirus has been diagnosed. The map was updated yesterday and LA county is not indicated as a county in which community acquired infection has been diagnosed. But... was the map updated before or after our first case was announced? How about case 2 which was announced today- community acquired or not? Big difference in how much of a risk I am to others if say our two cases are people returned from Italy and self-quarantining since their return. Vs people who were at Peet’s yesterday morning when I was there.
The lack of guidance on anything is just annoying. The last thing I want to do is shut my own hospital down by spreading disease to everyone. A little bit of info would actually be useful.

I have found that L.G. run narrow but length is spot on. I have a brand new pair of those I cant wear. Way too tight.
P.I run true in my experience. Just throwing those out in case it might help.

I've always had good luck with Shimano shoes, these are like my 5th pair. They are always a little on the long side but fit me great width wise. I also have a pair of white ones ordered. Hope they are as comfortable as these black ones.

Grrrrr - weather forecast vs reality discrepancies are pissing me off. It was supposed to be 30° at 9am but it's currently sitting at 22°. I know that it's only 8 degrees difference, but lemme tell ya - that's a significant 8 degrees. At 30°, I could get away with light gloves until it warmed up an hour in to the ride. I'd also be able to do knickers and toe covers rather than full tights and full neoprene booties. Short-sleeved base layer vs bulkier LS, too. It's also the difference between me wanting to go out for three hours and me wanting to get my ass back inside after one hour. Ugh.
