Got in an early and chilly ride. It was windy but very refreshing. My hope is it’s the last ride this season where I will need winter gloves and jacket.
I somehow kept hearing “Your Pizza’s Burning” sung to “Beast of Burden” during the ride, I imagine it was last nights dinner that fueled the ride.
I’m even back on the Addiction podium now, I suspect it won’t last.
Happy Mother’s Day to all, especially any lurking mothers. Any real mothers in Addiction?

Beats me. I only placed the order to make my son, a huge Tesla fan, happy. I ordered the dual motor but figure that I’ll cancel the order when it comes time to put my money on the finished product. It only cost $100 to reserve one.

So my Dad had a bad bleed in his digestive tract yesterday. Admitted to the hospital. They did tests, checked his blood and enzymes. Gave him the old rotorooter camera today. Found nothing. Told him to start using a stool softener. And sent him home. He was home for an hour or two. Pain in both arms and shoulder radiating to his chest. Back to E.R. re admitted. High irregular heart rate. Testing for covid. & Blood enzymes again .
This sucks. Hard on my mom. They won't let her in because of covid. Her and my sister had to wait in the car for them to call and tell her they were going to admit him.
so now we wait...

Not a lot of data points (in recent years), but although my bleeding stops reasonably soon, I think the would healing takes longer due to my drug consumption.

A lot of breakfast feedback, thank you. Yes, yogurt is a healthy alternative I can get with, I'll have to trial and see if it meets the energy requirements of a robust, energetic retiree.
The shredded chicken sounds good, too. Must be prepared some way to keep it moist. Recipe?

My own breakfast is just an english muffin with some peanut butter and a dab of jam.

I've had the most ridiculous time setting up zone 2 irrigation for the northwest lawn. I'm changing it from 4 sprayers to 2 rotors, so I ran some new pipe out to the corner of the lawn, plug all the Tees for the olde sprayers and flush the pipe for 20 secs. Then put the swing joint and rotor on the end, open the valve and there's not enough pressure to pop the rotor up. Urrggghh.
The other day my wife called me out to the yard because there was something she wanted me to see. She said, "what's this thing?", pointing to a rotor that hadn't retracted. I touched it with my toe, and it disappeared. But when it was up, I noticed that it looked pretty crooked, so I suppose I need to dig that one out and straighten it.

If you like moist chicken, you need to look into a Sous Vide. Essentially you put the food in a sealed bag, and then put the bag in a heated water bath for some amount of time. For the most part it is incredibly easy - once you start it, you don't have to do anything until it is done. If you cook chicken in there, it comes out incredibly moist.

Ouch - Phil Gaimon had been training for an Everesting record. I don't know what the record is/was, but he was aiming for 8 hours, which he fell just short of [edit: assuming the stats stand, he beat the record by more than 40 minutes]. Crazy ride stats -
