the new bike computer arrived today. Works well so pretty stoked. The instructions were terrible though, had to take a couple of breaks and walk away trying to set it up.

I used one after I sunk about 4” into thick mud while touring in MT. My spokes flung mud all over the place. My canti brakes were coated.Water bottle squirts were not good enough.

cheap chinese hardware. Called an M4 meilan. Price was right and has the ability to connect to heart rate monitor and power meter when the time comes. Really just wanted it for heads up display for tracking miles, speed and cadence. My phone stays in my back pocket

Congrats on the #s whifi.
I shouldn't have covered my coworkers on call today. But he has covered a few of mine , a little good will.
Really looking forward to tomorrow. my legs are only a little sore from yesterday, which is weird. I thought I would be hella sore from spinning 1st gear the last 13 miles. Im hoping it means I'm starting to find some kind of fitness.. I gotta lose this weight and get back in shape. (Sigh) every year same song. I have little discipline.

sounds a little dangerous trying to cycle that way? I usually ride on an empty stomach first thing in the morning but if I am going over 25 miles I bring food with me.

Updates
1. Work is getting busy again.
2. I’ve gone feral on the bike. Only sometimes follow my schedule, prefer riding solo to companioned. There’s talk of a TT back on the schedule for July and my thought is “that would require discipline”. Which I’m equivocal on reobtaining.
3. Long ride yesterday. 80ish Miles/ 6500ish feet. Something of a cluster but I got it done.
4. Cleaned out and reorganized a portion of the kitchen cabinets. Aka the liquor portion. Then moved on to the cookbooks. Tomorrow I hope to tackle the pantry.
5. Mr H turned me on to the Marble Olympics on ESPN. Oddly compelling.
I can’t possibly read back over everything. Are their noteworthy highlights? Or same old, same old?

Lots of newbys. last five rides, a few people with helmets on backwards. Rack bags and masks falling off bikes.
There needs to be a new word for covid quarantine riders that just started riding since the virus.
covidist.. Cyclovids. Quarancyclists. idiots?...…. any ideas?

Holy carp. A local cyclist who I know (not well, but I have done some group rides with him and follow him on Strava) Everested yesterday and he did it on a fairly short hill just a few miles from here.
That is dedication. Or foolish. Prolly both.
