I def. need to plan better, have something more hydrating than water, and a better food source.
I bring a protein bar if I am going longer than 30 miles, and as of now just been using water.
I don’t know how to describe it, but when I start to get tired, it not from my heart rate being too high or my muscles feel fatigued or hurting. I just over all feel zapped, and hungry. I’ve yet to feel like I have to stop I just run out of time.
Ive noticed to that it seems really hard for me to keep my heart rate up even when I am working hard. If I am cranking on a straight away my leg muscles usually tire out before I am out of breath. Not sure if this makes any sense.

Super windy for the ride today. Legs were a little fatigued from yesterday, but the wind direction was perfect for me to try to take sole possession of a KOM that I share. A minivan had other ideas. ![Not Amused](images/smilies/brood.gif)

LOL. No signal, of course.

Why not place it where it happened?
In 1998, a historical marker for the Christiana Riot was placed in Lancaster.

The past few years I have done the 100 miler. Not sure about the whole virtual tour. They should have asked for my endorsement before making me their mascot.

Centuries are stupid. I did two back in my yootful days, after which I refused to continue being stupid.

Many years ago my image ended up on the front flap of ride brochure. It was sort of semi-transparent. I got the brochure and didn’t even notice. Someone finally clued me in. May have been the City-to-Shore. It was so long ago I cannot remember. I should have saved one.
I still have a copy of a story that ran in a county paper in Iowa. Our cross country group had split up for a few days. Some of us got invited to stay in a senior center in tiny Oxford Junction so we could have ac in the 90+ degree heat. Word got around and a writer for the paper came by, interviewed us and took a photo. She later mailed copies to Bowling Green, OH, where we had a rest day. I’ll try to dig it out and scan it.
Our tour leader offered to give them the daily camping budget for each person there, which was $5/day. The head of the center refused, but we left it for the place anyway. Slipped the spare keys through the mail slot the next morning and took off for Davenport.
