When I bought this '84 Team Professional for my daughter back in 2011 it had Shimano Sante components and no decals or head badge. Recently, I did a complete makeover. I put on decals and Campy components. I will be putting yellow brake cable outer housing when it comes into my LBS in October. In the mean time it is running with black. As you can see it is in the rare oyster color.

'81 Sprite 10
Nothing special, but this 1981 was a thankful project. Almost all rust was gone after a bath in Evaporust. All nuts and bolts came loose w/o force. The barend shifters are new to me, but it does shift smooth and ride nicely.

73 Super Course
Rescued this 73 Raleigh Super Course from an abusive family. Stripped back some of the hideous green they put over the original color, and added a 165mm all city 46/16 setup, with reversed and snipped drops. Need some better 27 1/4 wheels for this bad boy, love how they eat up the road, any suggestions?

This thing popped up as a FB ad in my news feed. 555 RSL (sold only as a frame set). Those that have followed all of the discussion threads agree by now that this is rebadged 531. This unit was obviously campaigned by someone connected to Covina Valley Cyclery back in the day. Awesome shape with minty Shimano 600 RD and shifters, Superbe FD, and Dura Ace Seatpost!

'73 Raleigh Competition converted to Dingle-Speed x 2 - 42/44T chainrings, Surly Dingle 17/19T fixed cogs on the flip, White Industries 17/19T Dos Eno on the flop. And yes, I plan on getting one of their 20/22T units at some point. Continental 35 mm cyclocross tires on CR-18s laced to Surly hubs, Nervar Star cranks, Weinmann 999 center pulls, V/O Grand Cru bars, Nitto Technomic stem, a salvaged B-17 Aged (someone had laced in such as way as to flatten the saddle, then managed to bend the rails), Tektro levers, Crank Brother egg beater pedals - and attitude. I initially started this build so that I could accompany my 13-year-old when he was practicing running cross country on area trails, then he bailed on cross country this year - but hey, it was an excuse to build a bike!

Also, unless it's the camera angle, your fork looks like it's bent backwards a tad like it's had an impact or something.

Here's mine, which i apparently never posted in this thread. I ended up taking off the rack since I didn't use it as a commuter as much. I also eventually removed the original weinman brakes because they sucked and would never stay straight and replaced them with tektro r539s that look real nice.

On my way to work back in the pre-COVID fall, I spotted a Super Tourer locked up at a train stop:
Looked to be fairly original and reasonably well preserved, but closer inspection revealed this:
I left a note for the owner with my contact info expressing my interest to buy it if they were selling, but didn’t hear anything, and a couple of days later it was gone.

Thank you for that. You might be right, at least the left fork looks like the back side of it is not 100 percent straight. It rides great though, should I be concerned? Bend em back? - John

Your's looks good to me. I'm not sure how original mine is exactly. A buddy of mine ended up with it and it was not his size, and he already has the more rare 5 speed version, so he sold it to a friend who had it for several years. Upon hearing I was interested in obtaining one, my friend reached out to his friend and a deal was struck. I rode a little over a month ago for a rainy 40 mile ride. I now have some VO hammered black fenders to install. I did the same 40 mile ride last summer on my 3 spd Sports and I can easily say that I was much less fatigued after this ride.

often times it means there might be damage to the steerer tube. bending it back won't really help to correct that because the metal column of the steerer is possibly crimped or cracked on the back/front because the metal has to give someplace. BUT it's just a possibility of damage. I'd take it to a shop and have them pull out the fork and evaluate just to be safe.

Funny to rarely ever see any Super Tourers with drop bars.

They never came with drop bars, unless you had them changed at the shop upon buying yours.
