Any Love for Vintage Chrome Road Bikes?

This is a chrome bicycle for sale now on Craigslist (I don't have any relationship with the seller) I made for Tom Doughty back in the 80's when he was on the national team. This is a picture from Craigslist. His uncle ran a chrome platting business so after I built the frame Tom sent it to him to get chromed. The seller has some details wrong in his description list. It isn't made out of Columbus SLX (it was't even being made then) but rather a combination of SP and SL. Long ago in its life the right rear dropout broke and I replaced it but it was never rechromed again so it has to be frequently cleaned so rust won't kill it.
The seller (who I don't personally know) has been trying to sell it for a long time. I remember he had it for sale at last year's South Bend Indiana swap meet. I don't remember the seller's name. I think it belonged to someone else between Tom and him. It has typical road racing frame geometry. Tom was mostly a time trial specialist but commonly used this bicycle for riding criteriums. I made Tom several frames over the years and he always wanted the next one to have a lower BB height. He believed he could get through corners better not pedaling with a lower BB. Of course for normal people not racing crits a lower one makes more sense.

You're bike is looking good. Is the seat post clamp turned around to get you closer to the bars? Typically the nuts and bolt go behind the seat post. Sometimes the nuts interfere with the edge of the saddle when positioned this way.
I do love chrome bikes, by the way.

Great catch! I have to honest, with so many repairs and updates I had to make to the bike after purchasing, I hadn’t even noticed (guess I still have a “rookie eye” when it comes to bike wrenching, but having fun learning along the way).
BF is an awesome resource, appreciate the feedback from everyone along the way.
Pic of correct post position.

Finished getting the bike road ready. Updates made: adjusted derailleurs and brakes, true’d up the rims, fixed flat tire, reupholstered new saddle cover, added new grips, repaired fork and found some vintage Shimano 600 toe clips. Here are some final pictures.

I'm always fighting with myself about whether to put decals back on my SLT. It just looks so sleek and clean without them!

Chrome 1979 DX2000
1979 Chrome Panasonic DX2000.. Brought it back to almost all original mech but went with silver shimano 600 brakes.. I admittedly caught the chrome bug from the earlier panasonic post in this thread. thanks for the inspiration. sorry if I am biting your style a bit. I was already a panasonic enthiusiast and found the chrome dx2000 on search all craiglist after much looking.
