Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Neither do I , and I haven't done it in years. I worked for a painter for a couple days once when I was unemployed. I couldn't do it. No way.

If I was getting paid I could handle it. But we’re on a time crunch. And the preparation to roll takes forever. You can’t rush it.

Why so impatient? Savour the experience.

I'd go hungry. I'd prefer some of the factory jobs I've had, and they sucked.

At a guess: a 5mm allen key, a tape measure, a centre punch and some sort of coffee making device.

I like the Park Tool bathtub mat. Can I get one at Bed, Bath, and Beyond?

Coffee is brewing and I am awaiting daybreak to ride. It’s a cool 58F out, may need to dig out my gilet vest.

Slept like a rock. The weather was supposed to break, but 71* and 94% humidity isn't that.

Fortunately I have less on the docket than datlas.

was hoping to ride this morning but was exhausted. Went to the house early instead. Hoping to get a ride in tonight. The weather is beautiful this morning.

My wife has had a close exposure to a person who has tested positive to CV-19 with flu like symptoms. This was a week ago and my wife wasn’t notified until last night. So, off to a testing facility this AM. Neither of us has symptoms though we both have had light headaches which is unusual for both of us. I have a chest ache but this is common for me during hay fever season.

It's not 6:00 yet but it's close to 80 degrees. Haven't decided what ride to do, shocking, I know. Gotta figure it out before the sun shows up.

Correct. The coffee device is my stainless travel mug which had coffee from home in it at the time.
