Said it earlier- I recommend people wait for the '21 year model. I hear it will include futureshock. Your toddler deserves only the best.

But if you wait a year, your kid will be too big for it. Dammit.

I don't smoke but I did like the bike.

Specialized especially more recently has allowed some interesting ideas and clearly some stuff that only bike people would come up with. It is a whacky bike but I think they are living by the Innovate or Die slogan they have. It isn't something a lot of people are buying but it is buying them a lot of free publicity and people are talking about it and it was probably a fun project that will sell quite well. People complain but I think a lot of people secretly want one.

$70 delivered. The remaining $930 went into the college fund. Maybe be able to buy some pencils by the time she's in college.

Put her on a good training program, and she'll beat the kid on a Hotwalk.

Her father rode a Specialized Allez as a teenager and won races with many others on carbon bikes. So i'm sure she will.

Bold move considering how few toddlers are made of carbon fiber .... and kids in general are way more expensive.

I looked at the Allez when buying my last ride, but couldn't find the fit. Got a Roubaix, though. My pecking order when buying a bike is fit, components, frame material.
