WTB Park Tool cottered crank pin remover CR2
Anybody selling a CR2 tool at a accessible price?
I saw the tool offered by Bikesmithdesign. I try to find a Parktool, if nothing shows up, I will order that from Bikesmith.

Well I got one and it does what it says on the tin. It needed a bit of a mod to one jaw so it would clear the spider on one crank, but there was more than enough section there to spare a few mm.
I like that it just uses a fine-thread bolt. A fine thread is a key element of making this sort of arrangement work, you want the shallow incline of the pitch so you can make the screw push really hard without so much force from your arms on the spanners. Not only is it less effort but you also are less likely to disturb the tool/pin/crank alignment just when you don't want to. And the bolt is an off-the-shelf item, with an easy-to-do mod to the nose.
For an interesting application of this fine-thread-forced-feed do a search for "Cole drill".
