Bontrager TLR presta valve (differences)

I'm interested in replacing the rim strip and valve on one of my Aeolus Pro 37 wheels. I noticed that there are two type of valves (round vs rectangular). The wheels came with the round valves. Should I stick with the round base, or does it not make any difference which one I use?

I am not sure it matters. I am not positive, but I think my Pro3V's on my Domane came with round, my wife's Pro 37's I know came with the round ones.

Trek's site shows both types, but I also found this....

My Bontragers came without cores in the valves, which I considered odd.
