Unable to attach front mudguard

I wanted a front mudguard to go touring because it is likely to rain a quarter of the days. Without checking the front forks, I bought an SKS set of mudguards. Now I find that, because of the design of the forks, I am unable to attach the mudguard. There is not a hole in the fork where I can fix the mudguard supports. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

P-clamps are your friends in situations like that:https://www.amazon.com/HOLYBEAR-Stai...-clamp&sr=8-17

I can’t say if this is the right size for you though.
If you can’t find the size you need, I’ve made my own from hanger strap. https://www.amazon.com/Oatey-33923-G...2875819&sr=8-2
Cut to length, sleeve in shrink tubing(shrink it AFTER forming the bend) and install.

Above are EXAMPLES. For type identification purposes only. Feel free to shop elsewhere.

You might be able to drill a hole in the arch connecting the two lower halves of the fork to support the middle of the fender.

Thanks dsbrantjr.
If I understand what you are suggesting, the connection, or arch, joining the two legs of the fork already has a hole. It is at the bottom of the forks, near the axle of the wheel, where there are not holes for the mudguard supports.
