Cannondale SR800 in MOKAN: https://kansascity.craigslist.org/bi...383668029.html. Looks like it needs some work. Mismatched wheels and an updated rear derailleur. Black lightning?

Oh. The drilled cranks are probably fine under my legs. I'm not sure about that 57cm frame on 24" wheels. Weird sizes. Too far away for me, anyway, and I have no money.

Doubt it's Russian but $20???

Worth it just for the brake levers and hoods!

Vintage Bike - “Rekord” with Simplex, knock-off gullwing wheel nuts, Peugot Record Du Monde copycat
$20
Listed 21 hours ago in Oshkosh, WI
  • Condition
    Used - Fair
Offering up a early 70’s Russian bike with Simplex hardware, gull wing knock off wheel nuts, and plenty of other interesting tidbits. This bike needs some love to get back to running order, but it is a great find for $20 for a project bike or parts bike. Let me know. I’m near the UWO campus.

In the local ads, looks legit.

that’s a nice bike, too big though. The ad is ‘Good’, bought from a MD, who said he paid $3000 for it. Wonder how many unnecessary procedures, or tests he prescribes? 😂

In Bradford, RI. They don't mention the size, or the wheel size. If the wheels are 700s, I'm guessing it's 54 or 56cm. They also included a picture of the serial number, but it's too out-of-focus to read.

A chrome
steels wheelset is worth $250 these days? (serious question)

I could be wrong but I'm thinking they are aluminum. I see that they could be steel and if I were near and went to see it then steel would be a deal breaker. I just looked online and found some with Rigida steel wheels and some with aluminum.
When I said, worth it for the wheelset, I meant that it'd be worth my time to buy it with the intention of keeping the wheels and selling off other parts. That way, everything I sold would undercut the price of a good set of touring wheels.

Forks clearly bent and generally terrible photos but if you feel comfortable straightening the forks $100 is pretty cheap

They're 36-spoke, don't appear to be anything especially suited to touring, more than any other 36-spoke wheelset. If they're not steel, they're better off on a single bike anyway.

If it's what it appears to be, somebody needs to go buy this bike RIGHT NOW! Assuming that it is indeed a Jeunet 620, it's full 531db with midrange French componentry, like a PX10. I owned two of them at different times and they are very nice riding bikes!

This bike has been for sale for months and the price has been steadily dropping once it did not sell at the original number. It also looks like the bike has moved much closer to the D.C area, making it easier to fetch when someone finally bites.

Is this not the best finish you have ever seen on a Litespeed? Is it just me or the light of the photo? Seems to be incredibly well upkept.
