Also had to run the madone to the shop today. Already messing up the sram force.
Don’t push the buttons on the left and right shifter. It’s not good for your health.
Got the garmin 530 set up, and was trying to pick my preferences.
It allows for 10. I picked distance, speed, avg power, 3 second power, heart rate, light battery, light selection, lights connected, and gears. For some reason it has heart rate twice and I can’t figure out why?

on my 520, I can only do 3 or 4 per screen if I want to be able to read it.

Well I kinda of went over board. I’ll play around with it tomorow.
I think I can switch between the 10 and a layout with 7 pre picked data points.
Lights are important to me, I bring spare head lights with me so if one dies I can swap it out. The bontrager so will atleast have a heads up when the battery gets low.

And three fields dedicated to lights? When your batteries are low, you should get a notification - I don't see much need to keep track of them beyond that.
Off the top of my head, I have:
Speed
Distance
3sec power
Cadence
HR
kJ (helps with longer-term pacing)
Time of day (I got places to be)
Ride time (again, pacing)
Direction (navigation and wind considerations)
To me, average power isn't that important unless I'm doing an interval, so it's in my lap screen, not my main screen.

You should check out the Ion Flare/RT lights. I use them and really like how they integrate with the Blendr mounts. They hold plenty of charge for at least 6 hours of riding in blink mode. Can be controlled by the Garmin. Great for DRLs. They are not for night riding though.
Ion pro and Ion flare were one of the items bought yesterday. So far I like them a lot.

I will have to play around with it. I didn’t know you could set up multiple screens, they gave me a little bit of a crash course at the bike shop, the rest was just messing with it.
If it notifies me when my lights are low then that solves that problem.
The one thing I don’t get still, is why it has two heart rates when I only selected one.

Just crashed, bad. Unfurling believable.
Front wheel is bent, tire is popped still trying to see any other damage. Kit is destroyed. Helmet did its job.

bampilot06 First thing, I'd suggest replacing the cassette on your Kickr. Both of my Kickrs came with cheap cassettes that I could never get the noise out of with any of my bikes. Putting a different cassette on cured that immediately.
I asked my LBS whether they had trouble with the cassettes on new Kickrs and he confirmed that they replace them, too.

I like them, too, but they seem short lived. I've had three between my wife and myself in the last four years.
