What bottom bracket can I use with the Ultegra FC-R8000 crankset?

Basically as in the title, what bottom bracket can I use with the Ultegra FC-R8000 crankset?

I've obviously tried to just Google this, but I can't find anything conclusive, nothing that just clearly tells me what types of bottom brackets are compatible, or something that would be actually useful.

They tell you in the product description for it on Shimano's website.

Recommended bottom bracket_Press-fit SM-BB72-41B
Recommended bottom bracket_Threaded (normal) SM-BBR60

This ^^^. First you need to know what type of BB shell your frame has..Threaded-english/italian, press fit-BB30/PF30, etc. etc. If you know that info already and just need to know which BB will fit your crank then Shimano makes a matching model number for your 8000 crank but almost all Shimano "Hollowtech" versions will work. We need to know your bike's make, model and year and a photo would be very useful to find out what style BB it uses. You can also do your own search by entering the above info and looking for the "specifications" which usually list what style BB yours has.

Also, depending what crankset is currently on the bike, you may not need to do anything. Example - if it has a 105 hollowtech crank (FC-R7000) on it now, the existing bb should be fully compatible with the Ultegra crankset.

It currently has a FSA BB-CF86/SLE/CZ.

However, this is for a FSA Gossamer Compact MegaExo, which I'm upgrading to Ultegra.

Thanks for the help!

I honestly don't know how to check this, I have detailed specifications for the bike, but it doesn't seem to state this.

This is the frame on the bike, it is a carbon frame: https://www.xxl.no/white-frame-set-r...159604_1_style

Is it possible to tell, just from looking at it?

I can't tell if the BB or components changed over the years but this page states the BB is FSA BB-CF86/SLE/CZ
And the crank FSA Gossamer Compact Megaexo CK-C6029CC 2x11, 52x36T (172.5mm: 50cm; 175mm: 54/57cm)

Given that components do change over the lifespan of manufacture of a bike. Your next step is to see if the components on your bike agree with those I've listed above.

I think that your current BB will actually fit a Shimano 2 piece road crank like the FC-R8000.

So unless it's bad or very high mileage, then just use it. By the time it's bad, you'll probably want something different anyway.
