have you inquired with being added to the women's forum. Ping an Admin, it used to be an invite type thing as it is a hidden group.

Zoot tri-shorts are very good. I wouldn't call them "padded" tho. they have a moisture management liner

probably because it is hidden so a lot of people do not know it is there.

Are you wanting shorts specifically, or bibs, or either? I am a little taller and prefer a 9" inseam if I can find it. So will stay tuned for others recommendations. I have older Specialized shorts with a 9" inseam that I like. I think I've seen the newer editions posted at 8" though so it might be worth hunting around. Peppermint cycling has a classic bib with 9". Terry lets you search on their site by inseam length, which is nice. Pearl Izumi do shorts I believe in 9" as well.

I do wish the women’s forum was more active. After Title 9 and Terry shut down their forums, there aren’t many more options left outside of Facebook. It’s a bummer.

I don't know the exact inseam, but my wife has two pair of Giordana that are pretty long.

I am a big fan of Velocio, they’re pricey but the quality, chamois, and customer service at top notch. They also have a good clearance section. Their shorts and bibs have a 8.7” inseam, close to your requirement. I prefer the Luxe line but the Signature line is great as well. They also a thermal bib sort that might interest you.

Good to hear. I help run a non-profit mentor cycling program for teens and since velorosa is local and involved in the cycling community here, they sponsor a clothing swap each year where a lot of gently used/unused clothing is donated to our program at the end of the night. They have helped support the program in a couple other ways too thru the years.
Good brand for sure.
