Hand Drawn Pinarello
*I'm not sure if this is the right thread to post this but didn't know where to put it*
I've always had a real love for late 90's early 00's road bikes. My dream bike was/is the Pinarello Galileo from 2003. I've had this bike for over 10 years, I love it.
But on a high speed descent on a closed corner I crashed quite badly at over 65 kph and totaled the bike.
Me and the frame survived. So to turn a negative into a positive I decided to draw on it.
This is the result. I hope you enjoy looking at it

That's museum quality art. I've never enjoyed looking at photos of a bike more.
Does this actually get ridden or is it a display piece?
What's a "professional doodler"? Do you do this to other practical objects?
Did I mention "brilliant"?

I am pretty indifferent towards the romanticism placed on older bikes and componentry however that bike is art! Absolutely beautiful.

WOW!!! Cables too!!! Fantastic.. How??? That's it... It's what my bike is missing... Something personal and perfect for a Franken Bike!!!
Now ya got me thinking about simple art work on my seat tube. Something like SERGIO ARAGONES marginal art work from Mad magazine. Maybe some I Spy characters dropping a bomb on my Frankenised French bottom bracket...

I think you've found what your side-line should be if you can do similar art multiple times over and over on frames for other persons.

This bike does get ridden, it's my current bike and I have ridden over 11 000 km's on it this year.
Professional doodler because I've been doing it all my life. I haven't and I'm not planning to do this on other objects.. Not for now anyway.

Had lots of problems with smudging at the start so had to clean/redo a lot of stuff which ate up a lot of time and energy.
I use a permanent marker with a double tip. I used (several of) the same marker for the whole bike and then put a thick lacquer to protect it.

This bike does get ridden, it's my current bike and I have ridden over 11 000 km's on it this year.
