Just got home, because I cut out early. And no, Mike, the seat post had NOT arrived! Dammit!
It was cool out this morning! About 50 and no sun, but at least not windy. No pics, sorry. Anyhow, great ride, if small - just SwimmerMike, Philpeugeot, and me. Larry showed up and was goign to ride with us, but ditched us for the Spectrum Ride, and was last seen trying to put on his helmet while trying to catch 50 Cat 1's on a downhill stretch.
Looking forward to February's ride! I promise to bring the Litespeed!

Reminder. The SF Peninsula ride is this weekend. I'm hoping to bring the Bianchi again. I've polished it up a bit so it looks better. I'm at about 80% on the build, so hopefully it will be ready and checked out by Saturday.

I'll be there with the Litespeed. 1995 is still C&V, right?

All bikes/riders are welcome. We won't comment on the age of the bike (at least when you can hear us).

Great ride @cinelliguy and @genejockey. I'm glad I didn't take the Bianchi out for it's inaugural ride. I did the test ride when I got home and had the bottom bracket come undone. It would have cut my ride really short.... See you next month.

For my checkout rides I carry a lot of tools, but I needed a crank puller for this one (plus the lockring wrench and pin spanner). After a mile I thought things were good, so I decided to leave the neighborhood. One mile later, I had a lot of play in the bottom bracket so I turned around and gingerly rode home and tightened it all back up. Did another checkout ride today and all was fine.

I was hoping to get a picture of @cinelliguy and his Masi, but he had to peel off at the end to head home.
If it wasn't for the fact I got the ride on Strava, I would have thought I just dreamed it. On the other hand @genejockey didn't get the ride on Straae, so he'll always wonder if it really happened.

I could have SWORN I went somewhere, and it took a lot longer than 3 seconds, but who am I to question Strava?
ETA: I could believe the power, though.

If you are not in the Elkhorn Slough, you must be fishing. Wrong choice, but it is a long drive from SJ.

I know that area well. I worked off N. First Street and ran on the Alviso levee's for ~20 years. It's a great area to "get away" and most people don't know about it.

Used to run the levee also, watched the Cisco buildings get built (this was 26 years ago before I moved to work at Union and 85)

No less an authority than the no-longer-on-the forums bigbossman himself proclaimed me and my frames to be "freakishly large." I can't disagree. As for slow, I have been passed by runners and unicycles on uphills. (I smoked 'em but good on the descents, though.)
I hope to able to join y'all in March, although a lot can happen between now and then . . . .
