Fnhon GUST - new build
Guys,
Recently I build up a new folder with Fnhon GUST frame. Just share some pictures with you.
The frame is so nicely made that I have to show you its details...
Thanks to Cr-Mo 4130, the riding is pretty comfortable. The compatibility with Brompton carrier block is a surprise.
Well, as a result of steel frame and fork, it is a little heavy, weight approx. 10kg in total.
Hope you like it.
Thank you.

Looks nice. I like the colour and decal combo. These are very attractive and tastefully aesthetic.

Any idea of the folded size?
I guess that due to the 20"/ETRTO406 wheels its bigger than the 70x35x65 with ETRTO349 wheels mentioned in this link ?
If I understand well what you wrote, when you bought the frame, you didn't expect to have a Brompton front block mounting on it?

And the block mounting, I thought it was Dahon, but it turned out to be exact Brompton spec.

That looks great. Nice work.
By any chance, did you weigh the frame & fork before you assembled everything? I'm guessing that because it is such a minimalist frame it might weigh about the same as a more conventional aluminum folder like an older Dahon Vitesse/Mariner or Tern Verge.

Similar frame, but not the same. We improved the geometry a bit for a better ride.

We made a prototype of a 20”, bug I am not happy with it so we are tweaking it still.

"It looks like a Fohon bike, but from frame to all components, there are many differences in detail. So no, not Fohon OEM. And I don't think it's better than a Fohon Gust" He said.

Fnhon CrMo 20" w/V-brakes is the best thing going for folding bicycles. The Gust and Storm (excellent clone of Dahon Speed) models. Buy just the frameset and appoint it w/exactly the components you want. That's what I would've done, had I known about Fnhon before buying my Dahon Speed.
A way to paypal order an Fnhon frameset in the USA is to use a purchasing agent. One of those that works specifically with Taobao is tbfocus .com.

You can order a frame on Aliexpress. I did this and received it four weeks later. This the final result

Yours is a Blast. You can tell by the curved seats stay and buy the more prominent welds of Al alloy material. On Storms they are straight and the welds are more inconspicuous.

As for the cost, I estimate it to be about US$600-$650. The cost will vary depending on the use of new or recycled components. The shimano 7 speed short cage RD came from ebay as an example. I’m sure cost would be less in the U.S. (I ´m in Canada).
