Tandemsrule
Hi everyone! My wife and I own a TerraTrike Rover tandem. We really enjoy it. We are from the Midwest but winter in Largo, Florida. There are a lot of really great trails down here. We try to get 5 or 6 rides in a week, weather permitting. Any other recumbent tandem riders out there?

Thanks 10 Wheels
Thanks for the welcome 10 Wheels. My wife and I were in Brownsville, Texas last year for the whole month of February. We enjoyed the trails in Brownsville. The RV park that we stayed in was huge and we could get 10 miles in just zig zagging around and around the park. We were there during the big winter event that caused all the power outages. What an adventure that was. LOL.

My spouse/stoker and I enjoy riding our RANS Screamer tandem recumbent bike. The Midwest Tandem Rally will be in Illinois this Labor Day. We have gone to several MTRs in the last few years and had much fun.

Welcome.
Not recumbent, but....did they have tandem recumbent bikes or trikes in 1996? Took delivery 25 years ago. Wow. How old I am.
Always did like a nice Cappuccino

Pinellas Trail is one of our favorites, we come up from the Sarasota area regularly to bikepack from there or just hang around Dunedin. How is the TerraTrike on your back and neck? Handle the bumps ok without bashing your teeth together?

Riding the Pinellas Trail
Our TerraTrike recumbent tandem does great on all of the “train track” trails. The seats are very comfortable and all of the trails are pretty smooth. We can ride all day long without getting a sore neck or a sore bum. Our bike is about 12 years old and only has a 8 speed internal hub so we stick to the nice level train track trails. We can handle the overpasses and causeways but we avoid trails with lots of long hills.
If you like riding to Dunedin, check out the Home Plate Cafe on the trail just south of Dunedin. I love their Ruben sandwich.
