Differences Between Ritchey Montare and Fisher Montare?

So I've got what I think is a Ritchey or Fisher Montare from the mid-80s. It has a crappy paint job and no decals, but it has a "MountainBikes" branded bullmoose, Shimano M700 Deerhead group, tig welded, faux biplane fork crown, and Shimano 600 headset. I don't recall what the exact SN is, but it confirms it's an '84. Is there any way to tell the difference between the two or should I just pick one and label it that way? I can't post links or pictures yet because I'm too new, but if you search the forum you can find a post called "1984? Ritchey Mountain Bike." and search ebay for "1984 Gary Fisher Montare Mountian Bikes MTB", you'll find my references and examples of my bike. Thanks for the help.
