I discovered this recently on the way to an appointment. This is my '95 Trek 850 drop bar conversion on the Bogert Covered Bridge in Allentown, PA. Built in 1841 it served the community well for over a hundred years but in both 1956 and 1957 heavy trucks smashed the bridge doing extensive damage. It was slated for demolition but a community effort saved it. The road was rerouted and the bridge was restored and given to the city of Allentown. It is now in the Lehigh Parkway park and is on the National Register of Historic Places - sorta like my Trek 850. A very pleasant find.
This Park has a 6 mile trail all around it including a climb that had me thinking about Annemiek van Vleuten on stage 7. Yikes, but I did not put my foot down.

it is kind of an personal joke. You are the first person to get it without me having to explain it.
Underneath, it is a 1988 Specialized Allez. But after a repaint I put a Madonna di Ghisallo medallion on as a headbadge, so Specializzato seemed more fitting.
Yet I was too clever for my own good. But at least there are two people on the planet that can smile about it.

Great pic, and thanks for the info. I'd been meaning to get down to the southern part of the state and do some riding. This month has been a colossal snafu. Maybe September will calm down.

Phantom Canyon Steel bridge. The only bridge remaining on the Florence and Cripple Creek Railroad after a July 21, 1912 flash flood that washed out 12 other bridges on the line. That flood also shut down the railroad which never operated again.
