I’ve had two other black bikes in years past, a Panasonic and Miyata…these are two current ones. Cannondale CODA F900, and a ‘70 Suburban.

My wife’s very tiny 2000 Schwinn Home Grown.
And the most dangerous bike in the world: An Avon Royal Star. It stops when it wants to but not when you want it to. I don’t own it but I had a hand in selling it to a friend who found out about it lack of stopping proclivities the hard way.

1980 Davidson Custom “Day Tourer”
The seatpost is an aluminum 2 bolt Campagnolo Record with a 350 external titanium shaft, engineered by Robert Freeman so I can use such vintage seatposts on some of my slightly undersized (less than 63cm) frames…
Drivetrain: Campagnolo 175mm Nuovo Record cranks (52/42/32t), Nuovo Record FD, Shimano Deore XT RD, SRAM PC-870 chain.
Noted vintage specialist Robert Freeman built the Davidson up and took this picture yesterday when I drove to his place to pick it up.
130mm Cinelli XR stem, Nitto Noodle handlebars, Suntour Barcon shifters, Campagnolo Record brakes.
Here are a few pictures of my nearly finished 1980 64cm custom Davidson.
It will be my winter bike here in Seattle. I still need to add fender mud flaps, and correct the front fender line…

I can never remember what I posted before, but I think this one is fresh. A 1985 Raleigh Big Horn with a custom build inspired by my love of early hotrods.

Annual Shot of My Pashley Path Racer
Gotta post this:
The most distinctive ride I have. Just a single-speed with drum brakes, but the ride quality is indescribable. Think 2-wheeled Rolls Royce. My arse knows Quality when it sits on it.
