700 x 35 Road Tire for smooth pavement ?
Looking for pavement only 700 x 35 with low rolling resistance , good protection and good on wet .
I see touring tires , gravel tires and city tires offered in 700 x 35 .
Is there a goto 700 x 35 road tire for smooth pavement ?

Yes, there is: Grand Prix Urban (continental-tires.com)
Those are only 35mm which is what I requested but also thinking of 38mm .
Too many choices ; confusing .
Gravel King's , and which version , the new Schwalbe Efficiency is 38mm and looks good , the GP Urban , ect ...

I'm using the 38mm version on my "rain" bike right now and they work well, both as clinchers or tubeless. Not as fast as the 28mm Goodyear F1 or Continental GP5000 I've been running on my regular road bike, but they're much more comfortable.

I just purchased 2 35mm Gravelking tubeless slicks at $35 each. Tanwall rather than black that I'd prefer, but $10 cheaper. That's half the cost of most quality competitors. Nomenclature on the Gravelking line is confusing; look for the word Slick.
I have about 10k miles on GK slicks over the last 3 years. Almost all pavement, just a few miles of gravel. Great tire. I went through one set of GP5000s in that period. I believe the GP5000s are faster, but probably just because I see that on the rolling resistance website.

and the GP Urban will offer much greater puncture resistance compared to a GK slick

I had Marathon Supreme Evolution for some time which have pretty good rolling resistance and a lot of sizes but unfortunately they are discontinued and now I switched to GP Urban. About the same rolling resistance but only one size (which is fine with me)

They're not tubeless but I'm thinking of trying these in 700 x 38 .

I've been extremely happy with the Pirelli's I have been running on my bikes and Pirelli has the Centurato's and P7's which are tubeless ready and in 35mm. The Centurado's also have a reflective option if you will be riding a night.

I've been riding the WTB Exposure TCS Allroad for a few years now. Running tubeless, it's light, feels fast, and soaks up road chatter like crazy.
Before that I had Gravel Kings - also good, but now I have two wheel sets for my road/gravel bike. I keep the Exposure on one, and a more dirt oriented tire on the other.

^ asks for fast rolling 35mm tire and a slow rolling 32mm tire is suggested.

There are a lot of good tires available in that size. I like the GK Slick or semi-slick. I have had the Pasela PT, but only in 25mm, but have seen good reviews. Continental Contact 2S, 35mm, have been good, more aggressive tread, on the heavy side. The sidewall shows them as 700-37, but they measure 35mm on the wheels I have had them on. They are quite durable, and easy to get mount on my wheels.
