Falcon Harrier road bike, but very little info...
...having bought this recently on Ebay I've stripped it down ready for restoration/re-purposing.
I know there's little value in this bike (cash-wise) but am at a crossroads in my thinking whether to repaint to factory spec, or do it a custom style of my liking.
Does anyone care to guess a year of manufacture?
The components are very basic - non-marked brake calipers/bars/levers etc etc, so I'm guessing it was an all-expenses spared budget model. Sugino cranks. A few basic Shimano parts (shifters/front & rear mech etc)
Any new info gratefully received.

My guess is early 1970's.
Since it's stripped down, can you post some photos of the frame, full as well as details such as front and rear dropouts?

The headbadge "sticker" rather than a "badge" may indicate a later 70's model, also 126mm spacing may also reflect a later model

To me, that serial number says "made in Asia in 1980", but perhaps T-Mar can straighten me out.

Well, finished the bike after a long lay-off last week - pretty happy with it for a diy job.
Went for a (groan!) Bianchi-type colour in the end...most parts cleaned up well - fitted new tyres, cables and brakes for the safety point of view.

Nice job restoring it.
The frame is very similar to my 1970's Falcon Eddie Merckx, same fork crown, dropouts and spindly seat stays. Mine takes a 26.4mm seat-post so I always assumed it was "plain gauge" Reynolds 531 but I recently discovered that seat-tube has a vertical seam in it, so not sure what it is.
