Twenty years ago when I first started riding again, a suspension seat post was a must for me for comfort. But I soon realized that my injured left knee really didn't like the changes in leg extension as I pedaled. And the older I get the more exacting my seat height has to be to be able to ride and not aggravate a long standing knee problem. So fixed height posts only.
