Well, that sucks. Here all us cyclist have been hoping for a glut of inventory to make prices lower, and when it happens it takes out both manufacturers and retailers.

Haven't found them worth buying from since they randomly decided that US purchases had to be through a US site with taxes tacked on which wiped out any real price advantage they had, top it off with no MTB parts and I'm not surprised.

I think they have had a fairly limited inventory recently?
I haven't used any of the UK shops for a while, the german ones seem to have better prices, selection and will ship more brands internationally.

I had ordered some tires from them, but it took 15 to 20 days to get them. I've found other places in Europe where I could get product in 3 or 4 days, so I quit using them.

That stinks. I got a lot of parts for my Cannondale build from them, including her Campy wheels and Fizik bar. That said, I had the same experience as jaxgtr - some of the parts took quite a while to show up.
What are these other German/European shops that people are referring to?

I spent thousands thru PBK over the past twenty years. Getting dropped by Shimano a few years back drastically hurt them.
And when they began charging me sales tax several years ago, it closed the savings gap significantly.
Their free shipping - albeit long wait - went away recently. They sent e-mail promos, but stopped carrying my items.
Long-time customers like me saw the writing on the wall. RIP PBK.

Slow as hell to ship the wrong items. Twice. Screwed up the third and last order. No love lost here.

Hate to hear this. Even w' having to pay taxes I've gotten several good deals there, even on two sets of wheels, tires, & several jerseys.

They were certainly super competitive on pricing in the UK. Still trading here at the moment as far as I can see. Looks like they are clearing their stock, so could be some major bargains there (edit: just ordered a pair of Dura-ace pedals for £114)

Yeah, if they are gone, then why are they still emailing promotions to me?

Maybe they're soon to be gone & on their way out. I'm still getting the promotion emails too. I could be tempted, but it'll take more than 15% off
