Holy Grail build recs for Colnago Master Pui
So, I acquired a Colnago Master Pui frameset (Precisa forks). It's being painted right now, during which time I'm contemplating build ideas. Would like to keep all things Campagnolo, and so far I have a Centaur crankset (UT compact 50/34): it's 5 arm & anodized silver and 5 arm w/ "matching" Centaur compact front derailleur. I don't want to run anything smaller than 28T in the rear, and if I can get to 30T or more, great (i'm an old guy, need a little help).
I don't know my way around Campy drivetrains too much, but anything between 8s-10s would be suitable, and wondering what generation of Campy components folks like for shifting. DT shifters of the era can be finicky, so might have to go brifters route. Would like to hear your thoughts...

The fork indicates it came out in 1989 or later. If we could see the paint scheme, we would have a better understanding of the year this frame hails from. From there the proper group for the vintage can be selected.

First of all, congratulations on the Colnago! I've had several Masters - most recently a Master Olympic that I built up with an Athena 11sp groupset. I also had a Tecnos with 10sp Record Titanium:
Spring 2013 - low and long with 175mm cranks had me practically kneeing myself in the chest...
There's something about Colnagos that lend themselves very nicely to restomodding. After years executing these kinds of builds, I've honed my own personal preference down to a configuration that maintains classic aesthetics and ergonomics with modern performance and range. That is to say, using downtube shifters with newer components. A great option here, and my current favorite, is sourcing some 10sp Campagnolo TT bar end shifters, which are just DT shifters mounted in a pod that then fastens into the bar end. Remove the shifters and they can be mounted to any DT shifter braze-on. The great thing about these is that they are indexed! My current daily (1982 KHS Professional) combines these with an 11sp Athena RD and FD (11sp RD has the same pull ratio as 10sp) and a 12-30 Centaur cassette out back). I also have some non-Campy wheels, which allow me to even run a 12-32 cassette in back.
Something like this - modern build with classic aesthetics - would look great on your Master!
