I'm thrilled by these. The shoes are as supple as if they were just made but given the complete lack of logos/branding I suspect they are late '60's/early 70s. Reminds me of when I got my first pair, talk about minimalist.

Two pair of XL leather-covered MKS toe clips to protect those gossamer Dettos I posted above. I've got the cleats on them now, it's like I'm in my teens-20's again.

A busy week so I haven't been able to post this. I've got a few things in the week.

First was this, which may be recognized around here.

Then I finally got in a chain tool to check for wear. After all these years no more just using a ruler. New 9 speed chain for the Merlin I picked up also.

A new set of Wickwerks 53/34 chainrings. I've run these chainrings in other bikes and they are freaking awesome. The upshift smoothness and quickness has to be experience to be appreciated. They really do work great.

A little bling to enhance the Campy stash, and re-supply missing items.

A few bearing sets, and small parts.

Some NR headset pieces and a pair of track bearing races.

Some tubes and a carbon fiber pump from Rene Herse. It's my first and only think made of carbon fiber. I'll report here when it inevitably explodes.

What didn't show up was the four tubes of rim cement and a roll of handlebar tape I ordered a week ago. Shipped from N.Carolina on Monday, it went (via USPS) to Tucson AZ thence Nashua NH, finally to St Paul MN earlier this morning.

Maybe, just maybe, it'll arrive tomorrow?

More likely be Monday. For a pound of package I wonder what the carbon footprint of its transit - twice - across much of the US, then half again back west to a USPS disrtibution facility maybe it's last stop before heading to my local PO for delivery.

Ofmega crankset from the one and only, @mountaindave!

A little arm polishing, and that'll look swell.

Also a couple eBay items, Fizik tape and the most modern Campy rd I've ever owned!

Brakes came today. This is the pile of loot that showed up in the last couple of months, for a bike I've been collecting parts for 4 years.... yikes.

Kind of a lousy picture, but there's a Crust Lightning Bolt fork, Nitto 32f rack , Miche Primato roller bearing headset, and one set of Dia Compe 980 Cantilevers. My cup runnith over..
