Trainer/stationary bike miles

I was just wondering what others do. My stationary bike is a 70's Schwinn Airdyne . It is harder for me because I have trouble staying motivated on a stationary bike. I have decided to put it both time and odometer reading in my log but I don't ad them to traveled miles.

But you're not covering any actual distance out in the real world , so indoor miles don't really count as real distance traveled. That's just what I believe. YMMV

Yes they are. The old ones like I have seen to sell for $60-$80 around here. I happen to find it on nextdoor for free. It got me pedaling before I got outside. As I have said before I have trouble staying motivated on a stationary bike. I have a couple of trainers, but just getting back to riding I was having a rough time getting on a regular bike on a trainer.

There is probably some way to convert the effort I make in swimming and the effort I make in walking to an equivalent bicycle miles of some sort or other. But why? The only thing I am interested in is fitness, and I believe number of hours spent doing any kind of physical activity is the best measure for me.

And I do count my trainer “fake miles” with my outdoor miles since I usually work my rear off inside.

I used Zwift in the winter, on a Cycle-Ops pro dumb trainer. I also turn on my Garmin. Using Garmin connect, I can export to Excel, and filter for indoor/outdoor rides.
I fractured my left hip in May and had it replaced on 7/14. I just bought the Zwift Hub, and hopefully will on it by 9/1 (will also track/filter thru Garmin)

Is bicycling activity without quantitative measurement (distance, time, BP, etc.) considered "riding a bike" by the wise men of 50+? It is all men who post on this list is it not?

Why would it not? Yes FWIW it does seem few women post on BF. Even fewer than one might think at first glance.
