For those that did not see this glorious puncture on Strava a little while back, bask in the glory -
No, it didn't seal when I removed the tree trunk, but after an internal patch, it was good until the tread wore out, about 6-700 miles later.

Mrs BD is looking for a reliable mounting bracket for her phone to her cockpit. She's currently eyeballing a Glub (sp) unit that screws into her headset . . . is that safe?
PS: Sorry, I couldn't convince her to buy first and ask questions later. smh

We had a good ride, but I had two effing flats. The second one was an obvious pinch flat from hitting a small “surprise” rock, but the first one is still a mystery. I could not find an obvious shard when changing tube, but will have to do a post mortem later.
My friends are teasing me about not going tubeless. Will not give into peer pressure. Yet.

For example, I'm currently riding 32mm gatorskins front and rear, pumped to 100psi. The only place it's inordinately rough is the in town part.

When this comes up in the greater 41, Quad Locks are usually mentioned as the best... but that's about the extent of my knowledge on this class of device.

I could easily nap right now, but I'll have a cup of instant instead. The last one of the day, so I'll be able to fall asleep at a reasonable hour. I was up at 3:30 again this morning and it was like a breath of fresh air.

If I wasn’t dropping 3k a month on child support even though the kids spend 50% with me, I’d have 4.5 baths too!

Have used Quad Locks on various bikes at various times, and the best. My wife still uses it on her hybrid.

Time to kit up and see if I can avoid being dropped by the fast boys and girls in Williamsburg.

Coincidentally, the bank's president at the time was a good friend of mine.
I'm fortunate to have never had to pay child support. And, I no longer support any kids financially.
While it was all good when the house was full, it now takes a lot of effort to keep it nice, especially considering that we don't really use the second floor much (except the exercise room). We'd like to downsize, but the economics don't work, and I refuse to pay more for less.

A first, in a long life of swimming in various bodies of water. A bee floating on the surface of the pool, stung me in the armpit as it’s last act in this world. Painful. It got my attention. A warning to all.

Having a "water closet" with a door is a marriage saver. So are separate vanities.
We recently saw a floor plan that would be a perfect house for us. It wasn't big, but it had the type of space we would like at our ages. Best of all - other than a shared shower with a doorway on two sides, it had "his" and "hers" bathrooms off the master bedroom. Separate sinks/vanities, separate toilets (fully enclosed), and separate closets. The "her" side also had a tub.

We don't need THAT much separation, but that's a target feature.
Still want a super shower.

Others where you could make a proper master bath by combining two... as long as we live in the house forever because then there'd be no bath for the other upstairs rooms we'd use as office/ gym/ etc but would be poison for resale.

when I was in an undisclosed location a couple weeks ago I had my first cup of instant coffee in decades and it was surprisingly good.

Beautiful day in a beautiful town.
Now to get acclimatized. Gonna try another fartin around ride tomorrow and a proper ride Friday. Only 6800' elevation on this spot. Seems to be a glitch in the moonrise...

That's the thing though... there are houses here with four baths where they're all one toilet, one sink, and shower-tub.

Good group ride. Brisk pace with a few hard pushes, but nothing totally bonkers. Almost every wheel that I was on was a good wheel (one guy was a bit pedal-pedal-coast). And it's always fun to work near threshold while trying to figure out group dynamics and where the eff you're going. 9.5/10, would do again.

A day after the Civic Pride holiday I waited on the phone 90 minutes to speak to a human and then was put on hold four times awaiting an answer to my tough question of if I could put a U.S. address on a form.
