Full finger padded gloves
Do chubby, stubby hands belong in this thread? We'll see...
So, wide hand with short fingers. 'Tis been always hard to find regular gloves that fit. Usually XXL, but often the fingers have a large amount of unfillled space at the ends. Irksome, but can live with.
Was at the LBS yesterday, and picked up a replacement pair of fingerless (Bontrager in XXL). Their very limited selection of fingered gloves in L had no hope of even getting the hand in!
Not looking for real dead of winter versions, perhaps good down to 32F. During the 44F ride yesterday, the fingertips did get chilled using the fingerless, so having them covered would be nice!
Any suggestions?

Check at your local motorcycle shop. I use several different motorcycle gloves depending on the need. They have thin to thick and even ones for extremely frigid days. Many manufacturers and lots of sizes and styles.

Banned
Layer. Thin stretchy liner to cover finger tips with fingerless outers for padding.

I believe so. Pretty much anything you can get for bicycling crosses over to motorcycling. Same problems, pressure on the palms, vibration, cold, abrasions. The local motorcycle shop should at least have a catalog showing everything and they can be ordered.

don't try this at home.
Can you find glove liners that fit you? I have long, narrow fingers and the REI glove liners fit perfectly. Liners are usually stretchy, so it's worth trying some on.
For above 50F, liners are perfect under my summer fingerless bike gloves.
For colder, the motorcycle ideas sound good.
