Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Pump replaced and filling the rooftop tank. Check.
One would think there would be a check mark on one of these three keyboards.

I feel so left out during the winter. All this trainer talk. And graphs. My brain shuts down in the presence of graphs. And flip charts. But don’t you worry about me. I’ll be fine.

This is what makes this corner of BF good. Very good cross section of different riding styles, ages, locations, interest etc.

too many / much long flat / straight stretches

when I was into road riding the flat rides were the worstest

The reason I will pass on Tucson is that I think too many people on the course pushing the pace increases risk for crashes.

I would rather just ride with my 5 friends at a sustainable pace, but I suspect that's not how it works.
