Rode out to Colossal Cave Mountain Park outside of Tucson today, 45 mile RT with 1,400' of climbing.
Park entrance, steep road ahead.
On the steep turn, rugged desert foothills ahead.
View back to the Rincon Valley below, with the Santa Catalina Mts in the far distance. I live at the base of that range, 20+ miles away.

I had another nice ride today. Today's ride was 14 miles but no miles on state route 359. It was down side roads that seemed to go nowhere. Which was okay because there wasn't much traffic on the roads. The temp was a nice 65 f degrees this afternoon.

Rode ZWIFT today doing 30 virtual miles with 1000’ of climbing at an average of 172 Watts. One sprint PR. I know that I am “worthless and weak” (from Officer and a Gentleman film) but was running at about 80% effort as not to burn too many matches.
Yesterday was 18 virtuals with 1,800’ at an average of 150 Watts. Tomorrow will be an easy spin day.

114 miles on the trainer this week. (We have had freezing rain, snow and several sub freezing days and a 12 hour power outage just to make it more interesting). Mixing it up with endurance, intervals, and hard one hour efforts. Then took the dog for a 3 mile forest walk climbing 500 feet in a half mile right outside the back door. Got back just before rain started.

I got out and rode today. The weather was beautiful with the temp at 65 f degrees when I left with sunny blue skies. I got a 20 mile ride in and it was on a bike path and also along a ranch road that has little traffic. This was a great day for riding.

Went out in the warm foggy drizzle and got 2 flats. Luckily the Princess was about (we can discuss stay-at-home-daughters in a separate topic) and provided SAG response. I finished up on the trainer and ordered some tougher tires for winter. I think the puddles were hiding bad pointy stuff.

Did my usual 20 miles today. It’s been rainy earlier this week, but temps in the 70Fs are predicted for the weekend. There is even a swell in ... I really should get back to surfing. I miss it.

38 miles on my mtb with 1,500’ climbing all in one shot. Tomorrow and Sunday is atmospheric river time, so back to ZWIFT
River already near flood stage

I got in a nice desert ride the other day, 70 miles around and over the Tucson Mts, out to the west unit of Saguaro NP, and back via Gates Pass with its 13% grade. Total climbing just 1700', mostly flat. I don't ride out there often due to some lousy road conditions, but this time I found four miles of brand new pavement with a 10' bike lane on Avra Valley Rd. They even installed a nice tail wind. And Gates Pass is always worth the ride. It's too narrow to even stop for photos. I got some persistent light drizzle under a sunny desert sky--there was a weird cloud cap around the west side of the mountain range. The higher mountains to the east of town were completely socked in with fresh snow too.

44 years ago before they put up this sign, my original Takara climbed this hill easily. There must be something wrong with this one.

I was able to get myself out today and get an 18 mile ride completed. Usually getting myself out is not an issue but today I think I waited beyond when I wanted to start. But I went out anyway and after the ride I felt great. The temp was a nice 65 f degrees with sunny skies. I did most of the same ride I did the other day but didn't ride out on the ranch road but found two other roads that were just as quiet and added them in.

I got out and rode today for 18 miles. I am enjoying the good weather for riding.

Everything went right this morning. I was out on the bike this morning by 9:30 am, and rode for 20 miles. I am doing basically the same ride on a daily basis but that is okay. I will look for a way to add a few more miles in to my ride tomorrow.

Rode 3 bikes today, only 20 to 25 miles. Two of them were just a couple miles each to check on a couple small adjustments I made.

I was able to get out for the first time in quite a while today. I felt good, and the weather was near perfect. I only did 16 miles, but it really boosted my spirits.
Day after tomorrow I go for chemo treatment #5 of 6. They knock me down pretty hard for about 7 day afterwards.
Hopefully after #6, spring will begin to arrive and I can get back my normal daily rides.
It's inspiring to read through this thread. Best of luck to all.

Good luck missinglink Hope you bounce back quick. I went through chemo nearly 40 years ago. As I remember near the end it did take longer to bounce back but I'm living proof it was worth it. I'll be 70 in 3 months.

Rode today for the first time in a couple weeks. Today's ride was double the last one. 15 miles even. I admit to a bit of wobbly legs for a few minutes in the driveway.
Rode the Specialized Sirrus today but was tempted to ride my MultiTrack. I decided on the Sirrus because I swapped to a shorter stem and wanted to see if it was an improvement. It was! No tingly hands at all. Sweet.

I made another trip out to the San Xavier del Bac Mission, on a 65-mile loop, mostly flat desert terrain. High winds this afternoon, 40 mph gusts, crosswinds for me. Rain coming in tonight and tomorrow.

I tried a different route today, and while on that ride I found a bike path, and also a road that had a bike lane. All those things made it a nice 20 mile ride today. The weather was sunny and 75 f degrees.
