Aelle or Aelle R? Just purchased on eBay from England. They are out there.

If I remember correctly , Aelle was straight gauge tubing. Columbus lowest grade tube set.

Manny66-
Zeta was the basic light gauge, hi-tensile, unbutted tube set. Aelle was also plain gauge but carbon manganese steel and Aelle R was the same material in butted form.

Stop reading my posts!
there was also Gara made from Cro-Moly but apparently not Cyclex and certainly not Nivacrom but also not sure if plain gauge or butted...could be seamed?
Tubeset weight is very close to plain-gauge Aelle (not Aelle R) which is listed above as 2345g
"Road set especially suited for amateur and touring cyclists who demand stout, lightweight racing frames. CrMo Steel – Weight: 2300 g"

Is the 26.8 seatpost size the best way to tell if it's colombus aelle? I picked up a faggin that I am pretty sure is aelle recently with that seatpost size, the colombus sticker is obliterated and all I can see is some gold flecks. Not sure if it matters but it's 60cm c-t-c.

I hear the women who run Faggin are open to answering inquiries from Faggin owners, so you might ask them, especially if there's a serial number on yours they can reference.
