Slowfoot
Heard it Through the Grapevine - great song
I like this version almost as much as Marvin Gaye
I wish John Fogerty's guitar solos were as good as his voice

^ Looks like that old hoofer, Joan C. Those two were in several films together.
Here's another, far more infamous celeb, as seen in HBO's The Jinx: Part Two - Chaper 8...

He really is a better guitarist than he usually gets credit for. An example of playing to the song instead being a massive technique guy.

thank you!
for any readers in a mood for a spot of unintended humour misseth not this late career entry from her
Della (1965)
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0059096/
she portrays the title character here so lots of screen time
numerous dialogue scenes involving co-players Paul Burke & Diane Baker
she has so much clout that she is able to demand a very strong filtre in an effort to camouflage the crags & arroyos of her famous mug
appears as though a whole jar of Vaseline was applied to the lens for her shots
the back and forth closeups between her an the other two players are an absolute riot given the respective contrast between her filtre and the unfiltred images of the other two players

Funny story................We live about 60 miles SW of the city of Chicago, out in corn country. Right across the street from our house is place called the Farnsworth house. Mies VanDer Rohe built it for his girlfriend back in the day. It seems to be all the rage with the tourists. Anyway, a couple of years ago they filmed a Japanese underwear commercial there with Brad Pitt. My brother in law the sider who drives a big red one ton, was headed off to work one morning and sees this scruffy little guy riding down the middle of the road with a backpack on. So he honks at him to move over some and when the guy turns around, it's Brad.

hub cleaner
A photo still of Mexican comedian Cantinflas shooting the 1956 film, Around the World in 80 Days.
Watching the film (and you can almost make it out in the pic here), it appears there is a kind of weight dangling and swinging from the front hub, like it's in a short leather belt. Does that make sense to anyone?

That was the first thing I thought of -- but that photo has me wondering what kind of challenge refilling, lighting and extinguishing that lamp might be, with all those spokes in the way. Some kind of quick-release for the lamp?

I mentioned this place in another thread but there is a gentleman who builds and sells Hi-wheelers out of Alameda CA (Rideable Bicycle Replicas) and has a website for it if you want to google it. But if folk wanted an "authority" on it he is the NorCal top dog for a group called "The Wheelmen" who specialize in these types of bikes - and in fact have groups listed throughout the country, if anyone has the inclination lol
